About Chip DeVille
Unbeknownst to him, Chip DeVille was most definitely destined to be a DJ.
He had been obsessed with music and entertainment since he was a child.
Beginning at the age of five, when he learned to play the piano by ear, his wide-eyed love of music and radio was undeniable.
He was constantly collecting and listening to music; calling radio stations to request songs, and then recording them onto mixtapes. Before ever even touching a set of turntables; his first side-hustle was selling mix tapes to other kids at school.
“Some kids mowed lawns for money, I made mixtapes and eventually burned CDs.”
Already an avid musician and partygoer, Chip DeVille technically began his DJ career in 2005 as a music hobbyist and record collector, and within a very short time had progressed from small house parties to large events, hip hop shows, and luxurious weddings.
After playing various local shows and events, he began making guest appearances on San Jose State Radio Station, 90.5 KSJS, where local host, DJ Luicidal, gave him his first big break opening for Warren G at the VooDoo Lounge in San Jose.Since then, he's had the opportunity to open for, play alongside, and tour with many well-known artists across the country.
Currently, he hosts a local music show for a Bay Area podcast network and does a weekly radio segment on KROQ in Los Angeles. He also produces a successful gameshow style event; and performs at various bars, clubs, restaurants, Weddings, Private parties, retailers and corporate events, throughout the Bay Area, Santa Cruz and Northern California.
